  The past view times we have been there, the wait on the food has been very long. When you go to a burger joint and order two burgers with fries it should not take over 30 minutes to receive your food. And then when you bring it up at the register they never want to do anything to make it right but offer up an unauthentic "I'm sorry, come back again." And tonight when asking if they could do anything about making us wait as long as they did, one of the employees made a snarky remark that I just didn't want to pay anything. We started off loving this place because it was cheap and it was quick, therefore we would visit quite often. But now it's just not worth the hassle! I would rather spend a few extra bucks at one of their competitors, and receive my food in a timely fashion. Steak 'n Shake needs to reevaluate some of their employees and figure out what the issue is. Until then, my money will be spent elsewhere.

  Worst service I have ever encountered in a steak and shake. I have been here three times now. Each time the service was extremely slow and rarely do they get the order correct. Once they didnt even have milk shakes. It's in their name and they didn't have them. On a different occasion, I had to send my order back twice. They need to get it together.
  
  Came back months later. Guess what? Still horrible. Wait staff appear to be brain dead. Wait is still extremely long. The only way this place has good reviews is if the corporate office is paying some ghost firm in India to write fake reviews.

  if I could give no stars I would. as others have said, spent more than 10 minutes behind a truck that was waiting just to order before I got there. she left. when I finally placed my order and drove around and saw a car had been at the window all that time. they didn't get their order till about 8 minutes later. my hamburger was wrong. i ordered mayo, tomato, lettuce and onion. no onion and very little mayo. apparently the manager does not give a rat's bum about his/her customers since nothing has changed. i will no longer go there as this is not the 1st time this has happened. love the food but service means something and his location has NONE.
